Kayaking with us on Bantry Bay is truly a magical experience.
You can choose to simply hire a kayak, join us on one of our guided kayaking tours or even have a private kayaking lesson if you are not confident kayaking.
Explore the inner harbour area of Bantry Bay or follow the Bantry Blueway which is a marked sea kayaking route around the bay. All our kayaks have backrests for your comfort and are renowned for their stability in the open water. We have single and double kayaks available for hire by the hour, children must be accompanied by an adult - and you can even bring your dog onboard for a spin!
Kayak Camps for children who are 8yrs+ and teens who are 13yrs+ run during the Easter and Summer holidays over 3 days for each camp. Our Saturday Morn Club is a one day kayaking camp run during June and September. All our camps are a fantastic outdoor activity for children in West Cork and both locals and visitors are welcome to our camps, they are always very popular.
If you're not sure you will like sea kayaking or are unsure about the water and want to gain more confidence, we also offer Private Kayak Lessons. These can be arranged to suit you, including weekend kayak lessons.

Discover secluded beaches on nearby uninhabited islands where you can stop off with a picnic. Why not kayak to nearby Whiddy Island, go for a walk on this historic island or enjoy refreshments from the only pub on the island, we'll bring back the kayaks and you get the ferry back for free.

Kayak to Whiddy Island
Hire a kayak for time in Bantry Bay and end your trip on Whiddy Island where we will collect your kayak and you can get the ferry back to Bantry.

THE BANTRY BLUEWAY
The Bantry Blueway is a waymarked kayaking route in Bantry Bay and is a fantastic route to follow on your kayak.
Starting from where you collect your kayaking equipment from us on The Railway Pier at Point 7, you can navigate your way around the inner harbour, across to Whiddy Island and back around the smaller islands in the bay.
We will give you directions to follow the route or you can download a pocket guide
